Facility Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning and Maintenance Worker to ensure our facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all employees and visitors.

  • Job Type: Temporary position
  • Work Environment: English-speaking workplace
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and hallways.
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to effectively remove debris from various surfaces.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and waste containers regularly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and ceilings through thorough washing.
  • Conduct minor repairs on appliances and coordinate with contractors for significant repairs.
  • Assist in moving heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Care for plants, lawns, or gardens by watering and tending to them.
  • Ensure bathrooms and fixtures are cleaned and disinfected consistently.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain safety.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of handling heavy loads.
  • Engage in physically demanding work.
  • Willingness to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
