About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an On-Call Casual Caretaker I. As a member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Keep assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
  • Conduct building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals
Requirements
  • Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
  • Certifications from cleaning organizations are considered an asset
  • Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
