LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Seasonal Contract

As a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, your primary duties will include:

Preparing water and soil samples for laboratory examination, which encompasses: sample extraction, preparation of standards and reagents, instrument upkeep, calibration, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze LIMS summary reports to effectively plan and organize daily tasks while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conduct sample preparation and procedures prior to analyses. Prepare samples, sub-samples, and reagents, ensuring proper labeling and storage in designated areas. Execute basic testing procedures, identify non-routine samples, and seek guidance on handling protocols. Meet quality and turnaround time specifications as required by clients, ensuring samples are analyzed within designated holding times. Adhere to laboratory protocols and ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain a standard laboratory environment. Availability for shift work, overtime, and weekend duties is essential. Perform additional duties as assigned.

You are an ideal candidate for the LABORATORY TECHNICIAN role if you possess:

A technical diploma is preferred.
