Position Overview

VDX is seeking a Senior Client Partnerships Specialist who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the distinct marketing challenges encountered by various sectors across Canada. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in marketing and sales strategy, with experience collaborating directly with marketing executives.

Reporting to the Head of Client Partnerships Canada, this role is pivotal in promoting our offerings, platform, and products to both agencies and brands. The selected individual will focus on a specific industry vertical, which may include Automotive, Consumer Goods, Finance, Retail, Restaurants, Travel, Public Service, Pharmaceuticals, or Media and Entertainment. We value candidates who are adept at navigating the unique marketing hurdles faced by direct clients and who have a profound grasp of marketing and sales strategies. You will be part of a dedicated team of 6-12 professionals, each specializing in complementary areas such as account strategy, mid-funnel strategy, creative strategy, campaign strategy, market strategy, and supply strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective and existing clients, encompassing both agency and direct relationships.
  • Drive activity and revenue to foster growth within our offerings.
  • Develop a comprehensive outreach strategy to engage with marketing leaders and decision-makers at the brand level.
  • Schedule meetings and engage in strategic discussions with marketing leaders from various companies.
  • Conduct thorough research on each company to prepare for meetings, focusing on their current marketing strategies and unique challenges.
  • Educate marketing leaders about our distinctive cross-platform video solutions and how these can effectively address their specific challenges.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships aimed at becoming a trusted strategic partner.
  • Provide insights and analysis on campaign strategies.
  • Demonstrate strong listening skills to identify customer challenges, curate innovative solutions, and meet client needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing strategy.
  • A background in sales or demonstrated sales aptitude is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in agency settings, managing relationships with senior marketers at brands.
  • Direct brand marketing experience, including managing and strategizing campaigns as an internal marketer for leading brands.
  • Ability to engage in discussions regarding marketing strategy with senior marketing leaders.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with key marketing decision-makers at brands, or a history of developing sustainable and actionable client partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of marketing industry trends and technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of leveraging brand marketing to drive significant impact.
  • A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
