The Chinook School Division is a vibrant and progressive school division located in Saskatchewan's great Southwest. We are committed to our guiding principles; Communication, Shared Responsibility, Positive Relationships and Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement.

We are seeking an Educational Assistant to support students in the Functional Integrated program at Swift Current Comprehensive High School. This position will be subject to additional contracted hours due to the nature of the positions and based on individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special needs in a classroom setting
  • Work one on one with students to provide individualized support
  • Assist with speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills
  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement Individual Improvement Plans

Requirements:

  • Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training an asset
  • Ability and experience in working with children
  • Physical ability to work with active students
  • Lifting may be required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
