Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Afternoon Supervisor to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure all team members perform work in a safe manner, including the use of personal protective equipment.
    • Work in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
    • Know, understand, and follow safe work practices and procedures.
    • Report all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures to the Restaurant Manager or Owner.
    • Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to during shifts, including documentation of any work-related injuries or accidents.
    • Record and utilize logs as per food safety standards, such as temperature logs.
  • Human Resources:
    • Supervise team members.
    • Assist the Restaurant Manager in recruitment.
    • Conduct pre-shift huddles and motivate employees throughout the shift.
    • Ensure employees are in proper uniform and standards.
    • Provide coaching and feedback as necessary.
    • Provide training as required.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure quality and standards are met.
    • Handle customer service complaints with confidence, quickly, and professionally.
    • Puts corrective actions in place.
  • Operations:
    • Assign duties to employees as required.
    • Assign floats and balance cash at the end of the shift.
    • Ensure the restaurant is stocked, cleaned, staffed, and prepared for the following shift.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Previous experience in the food service industry.
    • Excellent knowledge of Tim Hortons products and procedures.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Previous supervision experience is an asset.
    • Excellent customer service focus.
    • Consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
