Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at van Zanten Floral Inc. As a key member of our floriculture production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.

Responsibilities
  • Cut and harvest horticultural crops to ensure optimal growth and quality
  • Perform regular greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks to prevent the spread of disease and pests
  • Weed and prune plants to promote healthy growth and development
  • Plant bulbs and seeds in a controlled environment to ensure optimal germination and growth
  • Pot and re-pot plants to maintain optimal soil conditions and promote healthy root growth
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure optimal hydration and nutrient uptake
  • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a focus on attention to detail and quality control. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks, and work in a wet/damp environment with hot temperatures.
