Your responsibilities include...

In collaboration with the Executive Managing Director, you will:

  • Design and implement visual merchandising plans to enhance sales and align with promotional marketing schedules and product deliveries.
  • Engage in strategic planning and work alongside Operations, Product Development, Marketing, and Distribution to establish and schedule visual direction.
  • Acquire and manage props and mannequin components to support merchandise displays while adhering to budgetary limits; conduct necessary inventory assessments.
  • Create visual merchandising guidelines and best practices that reflect the brand's aesthetic, and assess visual standards and execution quarterly.
  • Educate new management team members on visual standards pertinent to their specific locations.
  • Produce and set up window displays, in-store promotions, point-of-purchase signage, layout zoning, and seasonal promotional displays in designated stores, along with preparing written directives for chain-wide implementation.
  • Ensure timely execution of display directives across the chain based on submitted visuals and provide constructive feedback to store management to maintain brand consistency and enhance execution quality and productivity.
  • Carry out additional related projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Your qualifications...

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in merchandising, graphic or interior design, visual communications, or retail/fashion business management.
  • Progressive experience in visual merchandising within the retail fashion sector, with a solid understanding of current fashion and styling trends.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant fashion merchandising work that highlights a sophisticated and contemporary fashion sense.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or other visual design software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A creative, innovative, and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgment in resolving issues and escalating to senior management when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Operations management, and staff.
  • A high degree of organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with a strong initiative, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • A sense of ownership, responsibility, and urgency in completing tasks and following up on commitments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt quickly to changing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A diligent, positive attitude with a willingness to accept and learn from feedback.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality, demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Physical capability to lift weights up to 20 kg, utilize hand tools and ladders, and manipulate displays for installation.
  • Availability for flexible hours and travel as needed; a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Commitment to following health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
