Job Summary

Cenovus is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Student to join our Developments team in St. John's. As an Engineering Student, you will play a key role in supporting the execution of project scopes, progression of project execution, and identification of value opportunities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the developments engineering team with project deliverables.
  • Conducting research related to technology applicable to the local oil and gas industry.
  • Applying project management principles and capital allocation models.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term.
  • Be available to begin work in January 2025.
  • Have a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.
  • Demonstrate collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and ideas to achieve goals.
  • Be able to self-motivate and work independently.
  • Be flexible to changing work demands and able to prioritize.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Have strong computer skills (MS Office Products).
  • Have strong verbal and written communications skills.

Education

You must be enrolled in an Engineering Program (all disciplines will be considered) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.

Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.

New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
