We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Simulator Technician to join our team at WestJet. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flight simulators.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on flight simulators to ensure they meet or exceed Transport Canada qualification standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and report on maintenance activities, including recording issues and daily activities.
- Source and procure required parts and materials.
- Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for simulator technicians.
- Completion of a relevant technical post-secondary degree.
- Experience in simulator maintenance and repair or equivalent technical work experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers, operating systems, and software.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and theory of flight.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking and visual projection systems.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
