Role Purpose:

In the capacity of Lead QA Engineer, you will establish quality benchmarks, devise strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to governance policies. Your expertise will be vital in the successful execution of our digital systems and projects, driving innovation and excellence.

Role Context:

You will be integrated into the Digital and Technology Directorate, spearheading the digital strategy and transformation initiatives of the organization. Your primary focus will be on developing and refining digital products and platforms to enhance customer engagement and drive growth, impact, and efficiency through technology.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring QA engineers and facilitating project objectives
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices
  • Participating in recruitment and hiring processes
  • Leading quality assurance efforts on engineering stories and projects
  • Contributing to the technical design and implementation of scalable systems
  • Creating comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Identifying risks and vulnerabilities in systems and implementing security protocols
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations
  • Collaborating with product leads and business analysts
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiency and process improvements

Requirements of the Role:

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on both manual and automated testing
  • Proficiency in functional and performance testing tools and scripting languages
  • Thorough understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, databases, CI/CD tools, and web technologies
  • Experience with performance testing tools and defect tracking systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • A commitment to continuous learning to stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in QA
