Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process prescriptions or refill requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in dispensing.
  • Maintain detailed customer medication profiles and records.
  • Provide expert consultation on medication usage, including administration, indications, contraindications, drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
  • Oversee the proper preparation, packaging, distribution, and storage of vaccines, biologicals, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Adhere to all relevant Federal & Provincial regulations.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with the Privacy Act.
  • Demonstrate experience with retail pharmaceutical systems and dispensing practices.
  • Possess a solid understanding of BC Pharmacare and Third-Party billing policies, including follow-up and collections.

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), strong listening abilities, and a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and adaptability.
  • Outstanding customer service experience.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance, mature communication style, and appropriate phone etiquette.

  • Engage in self-development activities relevant to current job functions or future career aspirations.

Qualifications:

  • Must maintain good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists.
