About the Role

The Labourer Operator is a key member of the process sector operations team at Newmont Goldcorp Canada. This role is responsible for assisting operators in their duties and ensuring worksite cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure workplaces are clean and safe at all times
  • Support operators in their duties in all sectors, including grinding, flotation, cyanide, elution, crushing, filtration, backfill, reagents, and water treatment
  • Start and stop sector equipment according to established procedures
  • Respect, know, and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety and the environment and relations with neighboring communities
  • Report all incidents/accidents to the supervisor
  • Participate in continuous training programs to replace workers in subsequent operations positions
  • Maintain information records on duties
  • Assist fixed equipment mechanics during maintenance work and production shutdowns
Requirements
  • Vocational studies diploma in ore processing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingualism, French & English is an asset
