Key Responsibilities:
- Properly build loads to streamline shipping operations, considering factors such as weight, size, and route efficiency.
- Ensure all company policies are followed and adhered to for safe work practices, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Meet company shipping quality standards and delivery commitments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Partner with other locations to maintain maximum efficiency of shipments, optimizing routes and reducing costs.
- Generate purchase orders for outside carrier charges, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Manage drivers and loading crews to ensure efficiency and safety in the shipping process, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
- Use route planning software to coordinate and optimize delivery capacity, minimizing delays and reducing costs.
Requirements:
- Exceptional knowledge of building loads, with experience dealing with building materials.
- Prior Logistics Supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience with an ERP system, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong hands-on leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
