Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kiddie Hall Childcare Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
    • Assess the children's development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs
  • Child Care and Supervision
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
    • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
    • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
    • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
