Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

Island Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our dynamic case management team.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, utilizing a bio-psychosocial model of care. Your expertise in clinical assessment and treatment planning will be instrumental in empowering clients to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, considering their physical, emotional, social, and environmental factors.
- Develop individualized care plans that address specific client goals and promote recovery.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
- Provide education and resources to clients and their families on mental health conditions and available treatment options.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
• Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
• Two years of recent experience in a related field, such as mental health case management or community outreach.
• Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
Skills and Abilities:- Strong clinical understanding of affective disorders, schizophrenia, and other serious psychiatric conditions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in an outreach case management setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
