Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Newmarket. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and balance cash and complete balance sheets.
  • Clerical Duties: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, and perform various administrative tasks such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide customer service to guests.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, 30-hour per week position. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English or French and possess a strong client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
