About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Oyster Freight Services Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other departments, monitoring the movement of supplies and materials, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient supply chain management.
  • Monitor Supply Chain: Track the movement of supplies and materials, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact our operations.
  • Prepare Reports: Develop and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key metrics and trends in our supply chain.
  • Arrange Maintenance: Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train new employees on company policies and procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Coordinate Work Schedules: Establish and manage work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Plan and Oversee Logistics: Develop and implement operational logistics plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, organization, reliability, team player, and initiative
