About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Conversations Coffee House. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, using a variety of ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Café environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
