About the Role

SynergyAspen Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing environmental site assessment and remediation projects across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Project Planning and Management: Prepare work plans, cost estimates, and project schedules to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Environmental Field Work: Manage and oversee environmental field work programs, including remediation and reclamation activities.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation and execution of proposals to secure new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and train staff to ensure work is done safely and correctly.
  • Technical Reporting: Manage, review, and sign-off on technical reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulators, contractors, and other third parties to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and issue invoices to clients, and maintain billable targets as set by the CEO/COO.
  • Travel and Remote Work: Undertake occasional travel to various locations as needed, and participate in remote work arrangements.
  • Service Excellence: Provide excellent levels of service to internal and external clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Education: Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline.
  • Designation: Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
  • Skills: Experience in contaminated sites, with extensive knowledge of BCER Regulations; managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls.
  • Personal Qualities: Energy, intelligence, and integrity; drive for exceptional client experience is relentless.
