Job Title: Pediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatrician to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital, part of Fraser Health. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children from birth to 19 years old, with a focus on general pediatric medical problems, social and developmental issues, behavior and mental health concerns, learning difficulties, and school-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to children, including routine check-ups, sick visits, and acute care services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including family physicians, specialists, and community agencies, to ensure comprehensive care for children and families
  • Participate in outreach clinics, multidisciplinary child development clinics, and other community-based initiatives to promote child health and well-being
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for children with complex medical needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric care
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • Completion of a pediatric residency program or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
