Job Title: Welder

Alps Welding Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is noisy, and you will be required to work in a manufacture setting. You will be standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability
