We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in organizing an upcoming Global Education Fair, where we will highlight our cutting-edge Medical Science and Engineering Academy to a varied audience. Time commitment: 6 hours/week
Position Overview: As a Virtual Networking Specialist for the Volunteer Centre of Calgary, you will play a crucial role in facilitating online networking opportunities during the Global Education Fair. Your responsibilities will include organizing breakout sessions, coordinating individual meetings, and ensuring seamless connections between attendees and educational representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee virtual networking opportunities, including breakout sessions and individual meetings, to facilitate connections between attendees and educational representatives.
- Schedule and manage networking sessions, ensuring all participants receive the necessary information and access.
- Assist attendees in joining virtual networking sessions, addressing any questions or technical issues that may arise.
- Encourage meaningful interactions by facilitating introductions and ensuring networking objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate closely with the event management team and other coordinators to integrate networking opportunities into the overall event agenda.
- Gather and analyze feedback from participants to evaluate the effectiveness of networking opportunities and implement improvements for future events.
Requirements:
- Proven networking skills with experience in connecting individuals and facilitating productive interactions.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple networking sessions and ensure effective execution.
- Experience in planning and coordinating online events, particularly in managing virtual networking platforms.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with attendees and educational representatives.
- Ability to promptly and effectively address any issues that arise during networking sessions.
