We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Provider to join our team at Jocelyn Nolasco. As a Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care and Education
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the children.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
- Shop for food and household supplies, preparing and serving nutritious meals to the children.
- Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
- Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
- Child Development and Supervision
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Household Management
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for the children, promoting socialization and fun.
- Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers, ensuring seamless care and support.
- Work collaboratively with the family to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored care and support.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with experience in child care and education an asset.
- Work Environment and Conditions
- Non-smoking environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and healthy home.
- Employer's home, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Demands and Capabilities
- Handling heavy loads, with the ability to lift and move objects as needed.
- Physically demanding role, requiring energy and stamina to care for children and maintain a clean home.
