Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering patient care with enthusiasm, fostering personal connections at each visit.
- Ensuring patients receive optimal hygiene treatments tailored to their oral health goals.
- Demonstrating a commitment to educating and improving patients' lives.
- Collecting comprehensive dental and medical histories for reference during evaluations.
- Preparing patients for orthodontic consultations.
- Setting up patients and equipment for X-Ray procedures.
- Conducting X-Rays while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assessing gums for signs of infection or disease.
- Performing teeth cleaning procedures to eliminate plaque, followed by polishing and flossing.
- Bonding and removing orthodontic brackets and appliances.
- Placing and removing arch wires as necessary.
- Educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices and treatment progress.
- Updating patient records and examination notes accurately.
- Executing all laboratory duties as directed by the orthodontic team.
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Following up with patients for aftercare and addressing inquiries.
- Traveling to satellite locations as required.
- Maintaining a positive demeanor and collaborating effectively with team members to foster an environment of trust and respect.
- Exhibiting high energy levels suitable for a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications:
- Preferred 2+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority in good standing.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure patient comfort.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Experience in an orthodontic setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
