We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Veggie Planet. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Work SettingOur restaurant is a dynamic and exciting place to work, with a focus on providing high-quality food and excellent customer service. As a Cook, you will work in a team environment to ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and that the kitchen is clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
To be successful as a Cook at Veggie Planet, you will need to have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
