Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our fire alarm control panels, system configuration tools, and related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and procedures for design verification of networked fire alarm control panels and system configuration tools.
- Create detailed documentation of test procedures and regression test plans.
- Conduct thorough testing of features, functions, stability, and regression across our product portfolio.
- Design, implement, and manage dedicated lab test networks to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate effectively with the QA team and Product Developers to ensure seamless testing processes.
- Assist in reproducing customer reported issues within the QA lab environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to developers to enhance product usability and performance.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in quality assurance testing, preferably within the fire safety or related industry.
- Strong understanding of wired and wireless networking protocols and their implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including network equipment setup and operation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software architectures and deployment models.
- Proficiency in using network protocol analyzers for troubleshooting and analyzing networking issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment.
Additional Assets
- Experience with JTAG, BDM, FPGA Programming, and other debugging tools.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Real Time Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with electronic circuitry, engineering lab test equipment, and schematic reading.
- Experience with issue tracking and management systems such as Bugzilla or JIRA.
- Practical experience with product installation and configuration using hand tools.
