Job Title: Kitchen Helper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Stratford Thai Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry and replace linen, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a tidy dining area.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Scour pots and pans, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Package take-out food, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Portion and wrap foods, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, adhering to recipe guidelines.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, ensuring a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, maintaining a well-organized kitchen.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and ability to multitask, maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic kitchen environment.
