Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: Candidates with 1 to less than 7 months of driving experience are encouraged to apply.
This role is primarily an on-the-road job, requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize navigation tools, including GPS, to plan and adjust routes, aiming to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact.
- Provide exceptional customer service while managing cargo.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain straight or articulated trucks for transporting various materials.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure safety.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.
- Handle and transport dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
- AZ class license is mandatory.
- Air Brakes Endorsement is required.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is essential.
Familiarity with various documentation is necessary, including:
- Accident or incident reports
- Bill of lading
- Driver logbook
- Inspection reports
- Maintenance and repair reports
- Trip reports
