At William Osler Health System, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment for our staff. As an Orthopedic Technologist, you will play a vital role in our fracture clinic, working under the direction of orthopedic/plastic surgeons and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply, adjust, and remove cast splints and traction fittings as per medical orders
- Provide care to clients with orthopedic problems
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Current registration with Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologist preferred
- Three years experience as ortho technologist preferred
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Emergency experience required
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team required
- Knowledge and use of basic computer program preferred
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration
- Good attendance and work record
Working Conditions:
Hours: Currently days, 8 hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
