Operate snowmaking machinery and associated equipment safely, ensuring thorough pre and post-operation inspections. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including fluid replenishment, cleaning both the interior and exterior, greasing, and fueling of machinery. Set up and connect hoses as part of the snowmaking process. Monitor and fine-tune snowmaking pumps and guns as necessary. Manage the discharge, disconnection, thawing, and draining of hoses during the dismantling phase. Identify and report any potential hazards or equipment issues to the Snowmaking Team Lead. Engage in snow removal and snow farming activities, which include snowmaking and snow fencing. Promote health and safety practices, ensuring a clean and secure working environment. Adapt to flexible working hours, including afternoons, nights, holidays, and weekends, while enduring extreme weather conditions. Undertake additional tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
Previous experience in snowmaking or terrain development, with a strong safety record. Mechanical aptitude, with a solid understanding of basic equipment operations and maintenance. Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs, perform manual labor, and stand for extended periods in outdoor conditions. Comfort in working with high voltage and high-water pressure systems. Basic knowledge of mountain resort maintenance and the requirements for ski/snowboarding terrain. Team-oriented mindset, with a commitment to positively impacting the entire resort. Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.Benefits:
