Job Title: Playground Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Playground Leader at KKetchum Consulting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This will involve planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote child development
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Maintain daycare equipment
Requirements:
  • High Five training (principles of healthy child development)
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a daycare centre or nursery school setting, with a focus on providing a safe and healthy environment for children. The work site environment is outdoors, non-smoking, and physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
