Playground Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Playground Leader at KKetchum Consulting.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This will involve planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote child development
- Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
- Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
- Maintain daycare equipment
- High Five training (principles of healthy child development)
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Immunization records
- Vulnerable sector check
The successful candidate will work in a daycare centre or nursery school setting, with a focus on providing a safe and healthy environment for children. The work site environment is outdoors, non-smoking, and physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
