About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Taps Public House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Operate dishwashers, wash and sanitize dishes, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining room, and surrounding areas.
    • Restock supplies, clean and sanitize equipment, and perform other tasks as needed to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, friendly, and responsive to customer needs.
    • Take orders, handle customer complaints, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure seamless service and a positive customer experience.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and equipment.
    • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
