Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

Petro Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train retail staff to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Assign tasks and duties to staff members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Hire and train new staff members to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Authorize payments and returns, and maintain accurate records.
  • Establish and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
Work Environment:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with regular exposure to cash handling, customer service, and sales operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet business objectives.
