Job Title: Senior Manager, Technical Direction

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Technical Direction to lead our Merchandise Planning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical direction, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing merchandise planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement merchandise planning solutions to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead and manage a team of Merchandise Planners to ensure effective planning and execution of merchandise strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, finance, and merchandising to align on product strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in merchandise planning and technical direction.
Requirements:
  • 12-15 years of experience in Retail with a strong focus on merchandise planning.
  • Expertise in managing onsite-offshore team dynamics and communication.
  • Proven ability to manage high-level stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
  • Strong product development and consulting experience in planning domain.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree in Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in advanced modelling and forecasting tools like Anaplan and Oracle Retail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous consulting experience within the retail sector, preferably in product development or financial planning.
