Position Overview
The role is essential in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Power Plant and associated systems within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boilers, generators, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor building systems through the Building Automation System (BAS) to maintain safe and comfortable environments.
- Perform skilled trades duties in various areas including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Certificate of Competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of BC.
- A minimum of two years of recent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- A valid BC Driver's License is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to perform the duties associated with the position.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Competent in operating related equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Work Schedule
This position operates on a schedule from Wednesday to Sunday, with designated days off on Monday and Tuesday.
