Recreation Therapy Worker and Bus Driver

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapy Worker and Bus Driver to join our team at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, BC.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program, enhancing the lives of our residents through engaging and therapeutic recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a variety of leisure and recreational activities, including arts, socio-cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises, tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of our residents.
- Set up and organize furnishings and equipment for programs and special events, teach activity techniques, and oversee resident participation.
- Accompany residents on outings, ensuring they have the appropriate clothing and necessary funds, and coordinating details with nursing staff and supervisors.
- Lead individual sessions, group activities, and large special events, adapting programs to meet the physical, social, cognitive, spiritual, and emotional needs of the residents.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and provide input for care conferencing reports and program evaluations.
