Position Overview:
The Automotive Sales Consultant will engage with customers through various channels, assisting them throughout the vehicle purchasing journey. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to help clients choose their ideal vehicle, negotiate payment options, and ensure a positive buying experience. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years in customer-facing roles, a proactive approach, and a proven ability to foster customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional manner, ensuring a pleasant environment that promotes automotive sales and customer satisfaction
- Provide expert knowledge on new and used vehicles, financing options, and performance details
- Utilize strong communication skills to build rapport and guide customers through their vehicle selection and payment processes
- Maintain an organized customer database to support ongoing sales efforts
- Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives to showcase features and benefits
- Employ negotiation techniques to finalize sales while prioritizing customer satisfaction
- Proactively reach out to potential buyers to maintain a full appointment schedule
- Follow up with previous clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Stay updated on training requirements from the dealership and manufacturers
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old to meet insurance requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in a customer service or sales role, preferably in retail or automotive
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competitive drive and resilience to achieve sales targets
