This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Senior Architect to become part of a vibrant design studio. With a growing presence across multiple locations, this firm is seeking an additional team member in Calgary.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Architect will play a pivotal role in managing projects through various stages and will lead project teams in Calgary, Alberta. This position is client-facing and will involve preparing proposals and driving business development efforts in collaboration with other firm leaders. The ideal candidate will possess experience with institutional projects and have the capability to mentor and oversee junior staff. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Holding a Master's Degree in Architecture (Registered with AAA or eligible for transfer from another province)
  2. Having a minimum of 12 years of industry experience
  3. Demonstrating a proven track record with projects in institutional, civic, mixed-use, or community sectors (a variety is preferred)
  4. Exhibiting a detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset, guiding projects to successful completion
  5. Possessing experience in business development and proposal preparation
  6. Maintaining strong client liaison skills and enjoying client interactions
  7. Showcasing strong design skills and a commitment to quality design - possessing an impressive portfolio of work
  8. Having in-depth knowledge of and practical experience with Canadian building codes
  9. Exhibiting excellent presentation and communication skills
  10. Demonstrating a desire to lead others and contribute to the leadership team and company growth
