About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Community Builders. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as administering medications and performing vital signs.
  • Support Medical Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and meets the needs of our patients.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients between care facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain Patient Rooms: Clean and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our patients.
  • Manage Inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Security Clearance: Criminal record check.
Work Environment

As a Healthcare Support Specialist with Community Builders, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding role. You will be required to walk and stand for long periods, and may be exposed to infectious diseases.
