About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at RONA. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and ensure a good customer experience
  • Assess customer needs and provide expert advice on painting department products
  • Present and demonstrate the product highlighting its positive features and suggest complementary products
  • Mix paint, copy or make color corrections as per the customer's request
  • Support the marketing of products in the painting department, including display of merchandise, visual presentation, and labeling
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and their functions
  • Ensure and participate in the maintenance of the painting department
  • Be aware of current promotions and flyers
  • Develop a basic knowledge of all departments in the store
  • Operate a forklift, if required, in accordance with the procedures and policies of the organization
  • Comply with policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, breakage of goods, and health and safety
Requirements
  • Experience in customer service, plus knowledge in the painting department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of painting products and techniques
