Pipeline Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Labourer to join our team at JPS Construction Group in Acheson, Alberta. As a key member of our pipeline maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to pipeline maintenance, including erosion control, vegetation control, and barbed wire fencing.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with erosion control measures such as installing erosion blankets, silt fences, and other erosion control products
- Assist with vegetation control, including cutting and removing trees, shrubs, and other vegetation
- Assist with the installation and repair of barbed wire fencing
- Spot equipment and trucks for heavy equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Perform general labor duties such as digging, shoveling, and carrying materials
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Valid H2S Alive certification
- Valid Standard First Aid certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification
- WHIMIS certification
- CSTS or PST certification
- Must pass a drug test
- 3 years of experience in pipeline maintenance preferred
- Recent R.O.W. (Right of Way) experience is considered an asset
- Ability to operate small equipment and tools
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 12 hours per day, 6 days a week
- French not required
- Overtime pay
- Acheson, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
