Job Title: Technical Consultant - Business Intelligence

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant to join our team in Toronto. As a key technical resource, you will work closely with our sales and presales teams to deliver Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design BI applications for our clients
  • Develop and deploy BI solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff to deliver high-quality work products
  • Translate client business requirements into technical solutions
  • Provide solutions to problems assigned by the technical lead
  • Plan and develop core application components with an emphasis on BI and ETL
  • Complete all levels of application testing and QA
  • Prepare required documentation, including specifications, design, system, and training
  • Install and configure our client's software as required
  • Stay up-to-date with industry business and technology solutions through continuous learning
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience with BI tools and technologies
  • Working knowledge of data integration and reporting tools
  • Experience with relational database technology, such as DB2 or Oracle
  • Knowledge of GUI technologies based on Java and.Net (Microsoft)
  • Ability to deliver information to a portal for consumption by the user community
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of DW/BI concepts, applications, and supporting data structures
  • Experience with RDBMS, data warehousing, analytics, or Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard third-party tools, such as schedulers, data modeling tools, and OS services
