About the Opportunity
Island Health is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 18-bed emergency department, which serves a diverse population of approximately 87,000 people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Completion of a residency program in Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
