The role of the Registered Nurse in the perioperative setting involves a variety of critical responsibilities that ensure patient safety and optimal care during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the duties of a perioperative nurse, including scrubbing, circulating, and assisting the anaesthetist.
- Participate in all surgical specialties and be available for on-call duties as required.

- Must hold a current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BCLS Certification is mandatory at the time of hire.
- Completion of a postgraduate OR course is required.
- Perioperative Certification or a willingness to obtain it is advantageous.
- Recent experience in the operating room is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, apply critical thinking, and maintain a positive, caring attitude.
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn are important traits.
- Must be capable of meeting the physical demands associated with this role.
- A satisfactory employment and attendance record is required.
- Previous leadership experience is necessary.
Work Schedule: Shifts will vary from Monday to Sunday, including days and evenings, along with scheduled on-call shifts based on operational needs.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
