About the Role

This part-time Housekeeping position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at our gaming facility. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitization duties, operating equipment, and upholding safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and sanitization duties in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, general cleanup, vacuuming, debris removal, and waxing of floors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, identifying and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Operate equipment, including vacuums, floor polishers, and buffers, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Comply with safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment, and identify any unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out in compliance with departmental and internal control manual policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and management.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including those related to licensing, health and safety, and security.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent working experience and education.
  • One or more years of experience in a related field, such as housekeeping or cleaning services.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Work Environment

This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24-hour operation. You will be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
