The City of Port Moody is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the role of Early Childhood Recreation Leader.
This position involves the design, execution, and management of a preschool program tailored for children aged 3 to 5 years.
As a leader, you will create and sustain a well-structured, engaging play atmosphere that promotes the growth and development of young participants in both indoor and outdoor environments.
The program requires the creation of activities that support various aspects of child development, including artistic expression, literacy, fine and gross motor skills, and constructive play.
Typical working hours for this position are from 9:15 AM to 11:30 AM, with preparation time on either side to total 3.25 hours per day, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the academic year.
# Demonstrated experience in coordinating and leading arts, crafts, and developmental programs for children
# Familiarity with outdoor preschool programming and/or Forest school methodologies
# Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
# Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children
# Current Occupational First Aid, Level 1 certification
