Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Rockwater Professional Products. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting:

Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to ensure the efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for determining the method of shipment, scheduling distribution of goods, and preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents.

Tasks:
  • Determine method of shipment
  • Schedule distribution of goods
  • Schedule transportation conveyances
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • Maintain internal record-keeping system
  • Record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Route goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Pack goods to be shipped
  • Unpack goods received
  • Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods
  • Supervise material handlers and helpers
Certifications, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:
  • Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Certificate
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Narrow aisle forklift training
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • Database software
  • Inventory control software
  • MS Outlook
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Dollies and hand trucks
  • Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts
  • Pallet lifters
