The Team:

The Global Security Team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the individuals, assets, and reputation of Mattel. The Opportunity:

We are in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Security Officer with a background in the security sector to ensure the safety of Mattel's workforce, visitors, products, and brand integrity. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with outstanding communication abilities and strong organizational skills.

This position operates on a schedule that includes evenings and weekends as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Security Duties

Uphold the best practices established by the Mattel Global Security Department, ensuring the protection of physical assets and personnel from theft, damage, and unlawful activities. Execute security responsibilities and related tasks as outlined in the Contingency Operations and Standard Operating Procedures manuals under the guidance of the Security Leader and Supervisors. Conduct administrative data entry as required by established post orders. Manage traffic control, visitor registration, and assist contractors and delivery personnel. Perform regular mobile and foot patrols to identify security and facility-related issues, monitoring access control and CCTV systems. Support initiatives related to intellectual property protection. Deliver exceptional customer service to all employees, vendors, and visitors on-site.

Safety Responsibilities

Monitor fire control systems for alarms and equipment issues, reporting maintenance needs promptly. Act as a point of contact for Security Supervisors and Facilities personnel during emergencies, completing necessary incident reports. Conduct monthly safety inspections, including checks on fire extinguishers and AEDs.

Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs, and overtime may be required with little notice.

Desired Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills to make informed, rational decisions. A sense of accountability to uphold high performance standards. Mature judgment complemented by excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals at all levels. Proficiency in using PCs and software applications, including MS Windows and Microsoft Office.

Required Qualifications:

Bilingual proficiency in French and English. A minimum of one year of experience in security, asset protection, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. A valid driver's license and Security Guard License are mandatory. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens is required, or the willingness to obtain certification through training provided by Mattel. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends. Ability to read and interpret business policies and regulations. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in using security equipment such as metal detectors and CCTV systems.
