Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in navigating challenging mountainous terrain, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Professionalism in Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and communicate effectively with central dispatch.
  • Cargo Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, and trip reports.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Possess experience in international, local, long-haul, national, and provincial/territorial transportation.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a valid passport, basic security clearance, and be bondable.
  • Screening Questions: Be available for shift or on-call work, legally able to work in Canada, and reside in proximity to the advertised location.
